Are there no drawbacks to being single?

I am a single, straight, 28 year old male. I have always been single and intend to stay single for the rest of my life. I never had a girlfriend, not have I even experienced my first kiss. I am very much attracted to females and females only, but I believe they would just complicate my life. I truly believe ignorance is bliss when it comes to the benefits of relationships. Another reason for my choice to remain single is the need for this "experiment". People told me I would not be able to resist seeking a mate when I was in high school and later in college. So far I have proven them all wrong. It's kind of an interesting perspective I have on life, plus it's really fun to see the expression on peoples' face when they learn of my never being in a relationship...it's almost as if they are jealous...almost as if I have stumbled upon the key to happiness and the simple life! I can't see any negatives ociated with being single. What do you think?
