What numbers are considered "good" for a pitcher in following categories?
W/L numbers are not a good representative of how good a pitcher is. For example, in 2005, Kevin Millwood had a 9-11 W-L, but his ERA was 2.86 and he ended up winning the CY Young. If you look at a 9-11 record without seeing the ERA, you will think the pitcher is bad, but it depends on his other numbers. Usually the good pitchers usually rack up 13-17 wins a year, but it doesn't really matter. For relievers, wins don't matter, it only matters if they do a good job in relief. For ERA for a starter, anything under 3.75 is pretty good. Your WHIP should be under 1.25, BB should be under about 80. You can't really judge K's because it depends on if the pitcher is a strikeout pitcher or not. A good inning number per year is over 200, and if you are a strikeout pitcher and you pitch 200 innings, you should get about 180 K's. HR's you should keep in the low 20's
