I Live in Southwestern Indiana. I grew up in this state. I have been here 42 years. People keep asking "where did these buffalo gnats come from?" and the answer always seems to be "Because there is so much water this year." or "Mild Winter" Well, I am here to tell you, and so would a lot of people I know, they didn't used to be a problem ever. We always had a few gnats growing up, but never these Condor sized biters. We did not have these several years ago, and we had years that were mild and years with standing water. So my question is.....Where did they really come from? Was it an agricultural test like the "lady Bug" type beetles that went astray? Surely there is someone out there that knows the truth. If you are from around here, do you remember as a kid not being able to go outside because of gnats?

Hi, I'm a 16 year old female. I'm the middle child of 3 daughters and live with both my parents however they fight a lot. When I was 11 my dad left home for the first time but it was only for a week, he leaves a lot but always comes home after a while. The longest time he left was for 3 weeks. However, my father has bought an apartment and plans to move into it after my older sister is dropped off at college (This august). A few years ago when i was 13, I was bullied by a group of girls in my grade, i would be so scared i spent recess hiding and would only leave school until all the girls had left. I would go home and sleep before I had lunch or did anything else I just get into bed and my mum noticed that something was wrong but I don't talk to her about my life (we don’t have such a good relationship) so she only officially found out when the school gave them a worrying phone call. I am now best friends with some of those girls and so there is no reason to remain "depressed" about that. The effect of the bullying should have worn off. For about 4 years now, I’ve had extreme mood swings. I've had days of major depression where i fake being sick to stay in bed and avoid going to school. At social outings I sometime get really upset and leave early without knowing the reason for why I feel so bad. I may burst into tears for no particular reason.There are times where I am extremely irritable and want to do nothing but sit in the dark under the covers. I have a terrible temper and often get into rages, when i get really angry with my siblings i may physically hurt them and my mother always tells me what a difficult child I am. At other times I feel quite normal but it doesn't last long. And sometimes I am over the top happy and nothing can bring me down i feel more sociable than ever, I'm laughing making jokes, singing, having the time of my life that my friends tell me I'm not acting normal and my mother says that if i weren't at home all day she'd say i was on something or drunk. My energy levels would be over the top and I’m probably the happiest most bubbly person alive. I feel like a puppet and no one knows who's pulling the strings. About three years ago I started cutting and ice-burning (ice & salt burns) myself when I got upset or angry but recently the cuts and burns have increased and i do it much more often. I got caught cutting in school once, it was a terrible day i felt so depressed for no reason, i was crying hysterically and had no control over myself. it was one of the worst and most embarring days of my life. At a party once i was dancing with this guy when i suddenly felt so sad i started crying and screaming and felt depressed for the rest of the party. Someone thought that the screaming and sudden crying was because i was wasted and attempted to force me to vomit but i had had only 2 gles and i could walk properly and so i was not even tipsy. Last year at a summer camp I attended someone caught cuts on my arm and I was put into the health center for 4 days until my parents had to take a 12 hour flight to pick me up, I felt as if I was in a mental hospital. I tried to run away from the health center numerous times they even igned someone to “keep an eye on me” yet I managed to run away I was brought back to the health center in a security car and it was scary. They’d call my parents and tell them “your daughter is on the loose on campus” as if I was some nut case. My grades this year have gone down tremendously, they started decreasing about 2 years ago but this year i failed 5 subjects in the first semester and 2 in the second. Even at 16 I still have nightmares that keep me up at night and I have trouble sleeping it takes me hours to fall asleep and i wake up numerous times every night. And i have gained more weight this year than i have ever gained (I’m not overweight , I just gained weight). I was diagnosed with ADD but i think it's not ADD and has something to do with another mental disorder. I don't feel normal and i've lost friends because of my constant extreme mood swings they always tell me i'm either too happy or too sad i have no in-between and sometimes i do feel that way. I've been going to a therapist since february and i don't see myself getting anywhere. She's not the first therapist i've been to, i've been to two others over the past 3 years and nothing is working with me. My mother also tells me i always blow things out of proportion. When i fought with her one time i ran away from home for about 7 hours. My boyfriend cheated on me with a younger girl 3 times i forgave him the first 2 times but the third time i unwillingly let go and i was depressed and lonely for about a month.

Well for your information I'm 15 and my brother is 26 and his wife is 29. Awww . . . sounds like the poor puppy is dying maybe he has heart worms. If you get another puppy get him from someone different then take him to the vet immed for his vaccines. That is the best way to make sure your pup will not get sick later down the line. house breaking is alwas hard, but not as hard if the puppy is well. Get the little cage only for when you are away from home and the puppy wont use it in the cage (usually) because it their personal space so you would be house breaking the puppy while keeping im safe when u r away

It would really depend do you want it repaired or replaced that is where the money would be going. Best to replace the toilet with a more efficient one but if the sink can be saved by putting a small cupboard under it I would do that... and they can redo bathtubs in a day they glaze it and it lasts a couple of years.

Make the shots, make the pes, show that you know the game, and the coaches will reward you (I am guessing you are in Camp in a High School then you will play High School Ball) with a spot on the team in High School. When you open, drive, if you think you have the shot, take the shot. When Double Teamed, p it off. When driving and you see an open guy, make the fancy p. I know you want to win. Your a competitor, so go out there and make you look better, and if possible, your teammates, and if the game is a going down to the wire or your losing, take control, and show the coaches your the best player.

I know how you feel. Back when i'd lost my babies, it seemed everywhere i looked i saw babies, and was really hard. I even started avoiding some friends because seeing their babies was heartwrenching. Its strange that now i am pregnant, although i see plenty of mothers with babies or toddlers in strollers, i dont see any pregnant bellies unless i have an antenatal appointment.. Which can make me feel like the odd one out when i'm out and about.. You will have a baby so don't lose faith, but sometimes the journey getting there isn't as easy for some as it is for others. It wasn't for me either. A friend of mine was trying to conceive for 10 years before she finally fell pregnant. Now she's like a rabbit, and doesn't seem to stop.. Stay positive, and make sure you're doing the right things to increase chances.. Such as every other day minimum, (dont overdo it, or you'll knacker the quality of sperm) shove a pillow under your hips to give sperm a direct route, Make sure your partner doesn't wear tight undies or jeans, as it's important his testicles are kept at the right temperature, (being confined too close to the body overheats them, which affects sperm quality according to my mums friend who's a fertility expert, so they have to "hang in the natural body position" Boxer shorts are much more practical) watch your diet and his! Eat lots of green healthy stuff, and most importantly don't forget your folic acid! Naturally, i'm sure you know all this already! Good luck, and lots of baby dust..

We purchased a VERY Old house (1921) and everything is ok on it so far, we updated almost everything inside and out, we even have a brand new A/C unit, my question is: Why the AC runs all the time?, i know that when is 100 degrees outside you can't help it but i think it's not right to be running for like 30 min. stops for 5min. and starts again, is this ok?, i know is not! but can someone give me some advice?, the last thing i did was cellulose in the attic (like 10"), the ceiling is 9 feet tall, we have ceiling fans all over the house (ac is 2,5 ton) , BUT!, the last thing i saw was THE WALLS!!!, they are about 3 inches thick!!!. Since it's a wood frame, stucco on the outside, and 1/2 inch new drywall and that's IT?, can THAT be the problem on why we can't keep the house COOL?, no leaks on windows (brand new). Can i add 2x4 studs, insulation and then another layer of drywall to make it feel better???, what's the solution here??? Thanks for ALL the help.

How do I stop my 0g plugs from falling out?

Today I started using teflon tape to stretch my 0g's to a 00g's. i wrapped my plus in 3 or 4 layers of teflon tape (hard to keep track) then lathered them up with vitamine E oil for lubricant. they slid right in and barely feel like theyre any thicker. I know i could add more tape but i want to take it slow cuz i know with stretching you cant be to careful. my only problem is, they are still loose enough i think they may fall out, espesially when i sleep. and if i try to put the O ring on all it does is push the tape and mess it up. so bically i cannot use my o-ring. its a single flair plug. how do i keep them from falling out?

I am a single, straight, 28 year old male. I have always been single and intend to stay single for the rest of my life. I never had a girlfriend, not have I even experienced my first kiss. So a while ago my school came out with its yearly clothing order form. One of the choices is sweatpants. At the time, I was craving some school clothes and I went down the list. Sweater - dont like them. Shorts - cant wear them all seasons. Shirt - have to many as is. Sweatpants - dont own a single pair of sweats. Can wear them anywhere basically. There comfy and at the time they seemed really sweet. So, I had the colour option between grey and navy and also had the option whether or not to get THUNDER on the of the sweatpants. As for the THUNDER bum, yes I am a guy, but this is my justification: Why would you order a pretty much plain pair of sweatpants (only other thing on them is STA written in small light green lettering down the left leg). I thought the THUNDER would add a little kick an otherwise plain pair of school sweatpants. So I handed in the order and didn't hear much until one day we were called down to pick up our school clothing. They had lineups for everything. This weekend, all of my friends are going to the red river gorge on a camping trip. it's just for one night and two days. My mom is an alcoholic and my dad lost his job...we're in a bit of a financial crunch, and my mom coming home drunk everyday from her new job at a bar doesn't make anything easier for my dad, who's going back to college to try and get a job back. We fight all the time and he tells me he doesnt care about anything including me and our marriage. So I have reallized I need to leave him....I am very attached to him and I need help and cant afford a counselor. I love him deeply and always stay with him becuase I hope things will change. I have tried so many things to get over him...a journal, fake letters, a list of all the things he has done and said to me that was hurtful, a list of what is to come if we stay together and so on.....I mean to be honest my biggest fear is that he will find somebody else and be in love with them and I will be alone. What do I do about my husbands family?

My husband and I got married almost exactly 3 months ago... His family seemed lovely BEFORE we got married. I had various little problems with his sister here and there but I didn't realize that after we got married I would find out what this was really all about. His dad is the only one who didn't want us to get married because he felt like I was stealing his son from him. The sister well, she wanted to manipulate and control our relationship from day one. I did my best to stand my ground and not let her, so every chance she would get when he was at home, she would steal his phone and text me [starting fights, being rude and absolutely immature!]... His mother had no idea that the sister would steal my then fiance's phone and my fiance didn't realize it either until it was too late and she would have us to the point of breaking up!!! The week of our wedding my husband's mother kept bugging me wanting to help out, etc but EVERYTIME I would ask her to help out she would bail and leave me hanging. So it was really hard for me to not get a bad attitude towards his family during that crazy-busy week. All through my husband's and I's relationship I tried and tried my best to include them to family fuctions, bbq's. etc. My parents are photographers and we offered to do FREE family pictures for them and they would always decline. When my husband graduated his family wouldn't throw him a graduation party so my family did and invited them [in which they pouted the whole time]... After my husband and I got married -exactly 4 days later we found out a whole lot about his family and had NO WAY of preparing ourselves for what we were about to find out... His mother and sister had been stealing his SSI money and his paychecks from him. He knew about the paychecks [but I didn't] and his mother and sister had my family, myself and my husband under the impression he was not receiving SSI. One thing has led to another and we don't want ANY communication with his family AT ALL! But they don't want to except that... They have nearly gotten both of us fired from our jobs because they would go to my husbands work place and chase him around and he couldn't escape them. His workplace finally tresped them, so now they come to our house! Law enforcement won't help because they "want to put the family back together" when they don't understand how scared my husband really is of his family!!!! His mother and sister would keep him doped up on meds that made his easy to control and manipulate and also made him not remember anything. When he moved in with me [a month before we got married] I wouldn't let him take the meds anymore because he was basically incoherant all day. Now that my husband has been off the meds for a couple months and they should be completely out of his system... He is starting to remember things more. He has told me about different things his sister has done to him everything from [spitting, punching, kicking, throwing shoes at him, grabbing his , attempting to grab his , trying to sleep with him, trying to make him sleep with her, walking in on him when he's trying to take a bath and oogling his body and , trying to sit on his lap or snuggle with him on the couch, trying to wrap her legs around his under the table, etc etc etc].. I asked my husband how he would respond to her doing these things and he said he would get mad and tell her to stop that she has a husband and she's gross, that she is his sister. He told me that often times she would retaliate and get him in trouble or she would get really pissed off and start punching him. My husband is Deaf and his parents don't know hardly any sign, so it wasn't like he could tell them what was happening, and when he would try he would get in more trouble because his sister would yell and say he was hitting her. From my observation it's easier to listen to a hearing person that is yelling and whining, especially when they are VERY good at being fake and putting on the "innocent" act; than it is to listen to someone who is Deaf when his parents don't know sign and the sister is fluent with ASL. Just from hearing his dad talk about the mother and sister, they don't stop yelling and whining until they get their way. My husband I can honestly say would NEVER hit a woman. My husband's sister is 23 and she is married to a Marine that lives in Cali. She lives here with her mom and dad, where my husband used to live. My husband is several years younger than his sister. I'm scared to know anything more that my husband may or maynot remember in the future considering with as ual as his sister was to him... the What If's start running through my brain. 22 Month temper tanrtrams.?

My 22 month old daughter has just started within the last 4 days going through these tantraums. She screams hysterically when undressing her, dressing her, getting into the bath tub, & all sorts of other times as well. Question about housebreaking a Chihuahua I rescued?

I adopted a 5 mth old male Chihuahua and for the 1st 5 mths of his life he spent it in a bathroom. He was allowed to eliminate anywhere he wanted. Now that I have him I am trying to crate train him. I understand he is a baby and can hold his bladder for 5 hrs at the most. He is under 4 lbs and I keep him in a cat kennel so it is pretty small. I let him out at 6am, 12, 3, 6, 8, 10pm. And then he usually wakes me up between 1 and 4am to go out again. But he is still having accidents in his kennel. I was using blankets in there but that would just absorb the pee or if he pooped then he would shove it under the blanket. I tried to put nothing in there and if he peed he was covered in it. Could I possibly have shingles?

I have these sensations on the skin covering my ribcage, only on the left side and it is an area about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide. Sometimes I feel as though my skin is crawling, at other times when my shirt or blouse touches this area, it is very painful. Throughout the day I feel like I am being stabbed, but I feel it only on the skin, not like pain on the insdie of my body. Its is not bone or muscle that has these sensations. When I lift my shirt there are no signs of anything on my skin, no blisters, bites or lesions. I have heard that a person can have shingles without the blistering. I am also wondering if these weird sensations are just stress related. I talked to a nurse friend of mine and she had no clue and told me to go to a doctor. I don't feel sick. these sensations are the only symptoms I have. I'm wondering if anyone out there has experienced anything similiar to my symptoms.

My thoughts on Michael Jackson?

I'm 35years old and I've been going through some pretty heavy stuff the last few years of my life. Now, admittedly, the last few years of his life their was some accusations and strange behavior. Personally though,I choose to go back to the 80's to the most memorable time of my life. Not only did he affect my life, but I bet he's affected millions of other peoples lives too. He was, without a doubt the King of Pop!! It has given me a new sense of hope and I'm eternally grateful for that. Despite all the negativity over the past few years I choose to remember him as a person who brought me so much joy and happiness. I watched his memorial today and I heard his daughter speak and cry and I couldn't help but see how much he meant to her. That's who we should think and pray about. About his children and his family who never asked for any of this!! I personally believe that Michael Jackson was the poster boy of "a victim of cirstance". He started out as a little boy who never had a chance to grow up. You can't expect a person to function as a "normal member of society" when you are forced into the national spotlight at such a young age. To me, I think Michael Jackson was a lot like me. Unless that sink and faucet combo have been around for more years than I care to think about, the porcelain finish under the chrome base plate shouldn't be rusted. It may be discolored slightly from crusted grease and soap, but that should clean off comparatively easily with some elbow grease and Ajax. I replace a lot of this faucets in my handiman business and have never seen one that was so bad that the customers wanted the sink replaced just to get rid of the sight of the old faucet footprint. Besides, even if it doesn't look the best, you pretty much answered your own question when you said you're planning on remodeling within the next year.

Last night I had a sleepover with my friends. We wanted to play this trick to whoever fell asleep. My Husband and i got married a few years ago, we lived in a big city living paycheck to paycheck, we loved the big city life but was hard to keep up with all the events & things going on and things things things! SO we got married and my father offered us to come live in one of his apartment complexes for free, as a marriage gift, so we can have a good start to our marriage, because that is the #1 reasons for divorce is financial stresses and we do not want any kind of stresses on our marriage, especially with our new little boy! we just had 5 months ago! what a blessing. So we have been here now in a small town in a apartment for 2 years now and Im now a stay at home mommy (what a blessing) ( got all my debt paid off thats why) & my husband works hard with my family's business. My husband has worked for The Family Business for 2 years now. Just as long as we were in the city together. He gets Vacations when he wants to, he has his own work truck, i have my own mommy truck, we do not have any debt now, he comes in and out our apt all day checking up on me and our new baby and having lunch with us and doing The Apt complex office work all day long. He gets paid good every friday morning.We run the business out of the apt so we dont pay for cable or internet or water. We have a saving account built up to about 5g now because we are going to buy some land and build a duplex. We dont have much stress and its an absolute blessing. We are happy and u can tell i guess. BUT When it comes to us willingly and wanting to hang out and enjoy my husbands family we are always bombarded with questions (from his brothers & im sure the mother says things too) about my father and our Family business & how u should get a real job and stop being under that "family umbrella" and go do your own thing. & we always just tell them just what i told you up there. But they still seem to not like what we are doing and they are not getting over it! this has been going on for 2 years the question asking the interviewing the interrigation. It really hurts me because my father has worked hard for what he has till this day and hes getting older now & doesnt work much anymore and he needs someone to take over and not just leave the business hanging and just sell it one day to just anyone that will make the investment go under! Why dont people understand this kinda thinking now-a-days? My brother didn't accept my dads offer because my youngest brother ventured out to do his own thing & moved at a young age not understanding the importance of loyalty & faith in family. WE do understand this and have faith & we are loyal people. This is so disheartening to me that they dont support our decisions because i know if my husband went out and found a job working right under a multi millionaire and got a free place to live & 2 free cars & now debt free his family would be happy for him and bragging about it! Because he did once before a few years ago working under a small business owner. but since its my father and my familys business its not the right choice. Im starting a new year with out all this Brother, Mother drama. I love the family but they can have all that talk about what they think is best for my husband, because the decisions my husband makes effects me and my baby, who are they to decide how my life runfs. I just wish they could be happy for us and not trying to sway my husband that he needs a corporate job with "benefits" all though we do have plenty of benefits & we are happy and content and not stressed, BUT they dont wanna believe that & somehow make us feel guilty and question our decisions, they just wont stop!... the only thing we stress about is his family putting in their 2 cents into what they think is best for our new family, when they dont care to have a normal convo with us & joke and laugh lighthearted conversation... they have NO idea, we do not ask them EVER about their jobs or their financial situation & i don't wanna to even tell them that my Family has multi millions in cash and also in investment... because they just wouldn't believe me, they only believe what they want to and i just need to cut the ties if this is going to be an ongoing 3 year conversation. WE tell this over and over when they ask and they still seem to not get it! im completely exhausted with this family & its sad because i love them.
