Can I use regular dirt for my lizard?

I have a green Anole and I bought the coconut bedding I mean it works great stays moist but the crickets hide below the bedding so my lizards can't get them . I wanted to know if I could use regular dirt for my terranium. Now when I mean regular dirt I mean the kind you would put in a pot for a plant, ofcourse I wouldnt get the one with fertilizer or any additives. Would this work. ?
