Where to live in florida?

i want to eventually move to FL but am worried about the hurricaines. im thinkin if i stay in the north east not too close to the beach the storms will be less distructive (jacksonville, lake city...) i dont wanna be too far north west towards AL, and LA, i want i nice safe neighborhood in the north east or south east if its safe weather. not too far south of FL. also near a good town with a good amount of ppl where i can open a bizzness and get a good amount of customers. wheres a good area in florida?
