Getting a refund after canceling a contract?

My husband signed my 3 yr old son up for a cl and after going over everything it was way overpriced, I called first thing the next morning, cancelled the contract in writing, received confirmation it was canceled, and have been waiting for my $95 reg fee to be refunded. The contract we have says word for word "all money paid pursuant to a contract shall be refunded within 30 days of recipt of the notice of cancelation." The registration fee is on this contract clearly stated along with all of the other fees they charge. They are claiming that my husband signed a piece of paper while there that says registration fee is non-refundable, they are saying the reg fee is not part of the contract? Even though I'm looking at it on the contract. We didn't get a copy of the piece of paper, they kept it for the file. I told him to send me a copy asap. Does anyone know if I can pursue this? I'm sure small claims or an attorney wouldn't be worth just $95 dispute, but this guy is refusing to work with me at all.
